Croft Library:  Check It Out!

Parents of Croft Students:

The Library Specialists are implementing a new program here at Croft to improve reading and literacy development called "Freedom Readers."   Your child was given information on this program during their reading class period. We are hoping all students will participate.

There will be incentives offered for each book read, and at the end of this semester we will be holding a DJ party with finger foods donated by the Rainforest Cafe, our new Pencil Partner for those students who achieve their reading goals.

I am writing to ask that you please donate some other incentive prizes of healthy snacks such as fruit snacks, fruit roll ups, pouch drinks, granola bars, as well as other items like novelty pencils, erasers, bracelets, and fun things that would get students to participate. Many items can be purchased at discount stores such as Dollar Tree, or if you work in a restaraunt consider asking for free food coupons. Please send items to school and have your child drop them off in the Library.

Thank you so much for your support of this program and for donating items as reading incentives. It is greatly appreciated and will be a great help to your child and the progress of our students here at Croft.

Going from 'good to GREAT!!'
