College Week at Croft was a huge success! Many thanks to all the volunteers who made this week possible for our students. We had several colleges and universities represented. A big thanks to our Vanderbilt representatives, Andrea Hewitt-Gibson, Martha Ferguson, Kelley Ockerbloom, and Lauren Taylor. Robin Daniels did an excellent job representing Cornell University. Great job to Tenice Kirby who represented Nashville State Tech. Mr. Reed and Mr. Campbell gave up their precious time to represent Fisk, TSU and UT Knoxville….I saw lots of orange on the walls. MTSU was very well represented by Duane Dominy and Shannon Stegall….Go Blue Raiders!! Mrs. White represented University of South Carolina and the University of Mississippi…you rock, Mrs. White!! Daphne Hardison took time out of her busy schedule to represent Tennessee Tech. Alice Patterson did an outstanding job representing Trevecca University…..thank you for all the goodies. The students LOVED the backpacks!! Our dedicated student teachers did an superior job representing David Lipscomb and Belmont Universities…way to go Miss Bever and Miss Bishop. Many thanks to Carol Nelson who connected us with Ms. Stokes from Western Governor’s University…the students loved the DVDs. A million thanks to Richard Buck for taking time to represent Austin Peay University….and a million thanks for all your time dedicated to Croft. Mrs. Mehok represented Endicott College in Boston. The students really connected with her. You’re Awesome, Mrs. Mehok…thanks so much. And finally many many thanks to Abner Smith for meeting with the entire Croft football team to talk about UT Martin and the importance of academics on the football field….our football players tell me he’s “The Bomb”.
