The 8th Graders take an annual trip to Washington, DC!



Opened in the fall of 2003, Croft Middle School is located on the property of the Nashville Zoo, which gives the school a unique relationship with many opportunities for program collaboration.  Because Croft Middle School is a Design Center, half of the students attending do so by choice through the lottery system.  Approximately 730 students currently attend CMS.

Frequently Asked Questions
Croft’s hours of operation are 8:55 a.m. until 3:55 p.m. Students are considered tardy if they arrive after 8:55. All students should be picked up by 4:10.  There is an on-site before-and-after-care program run by the YMCA. 

If your child is absent, he or she must bring a written note signed by a parent for the absence to be excused, even if the parent has called the school.  Absences will be considered unexcused without a written note. See the Student Handbook for further information.

Parents are welcomed and encouraged to become an integral part of the Croft community.  We love our volunteers!  Conferences to discuss your child’s school work should be scheduled with the teacher for either before or after school hours.
